Hullo, no you don't need to unistall the disc version since, one time installed, information technology is equivalent to the digital ane (the xbox simply needs the disc to verify that you ain the game, if y'all buy a digital copy the verification is made with the account directly).
You will merely demand to upgrade your current version and it will be washed automatically later the purchase (information technology will starts download some DLC/add-on).
Regarding the progress yous will maintein all your progress since information technology is linked to your account and not to the copy of the game.
I did not experienced this situation with RDR2 merely I experienced it with Forza Horizon 4 and information technology went all good

You lot won't have to download the game again, just the DLC volition need to exist. Yous will be "transferring" the license for the game from the disc to digital version.
All in game procedure is saved to your account on the cloud. You will only need to sync to the cloud to accept the saved data downloaded to enjoy where you left the final time you played.

Hello Shadowcat20, information technology turns out you don't have to delete Red Dead Redemption 2, the disk version, because when you purchase the Ultimate version of the game; will automatically download the add-ons present in the version.
And on its progress, it will remain intact, save in the game publisher's cloud.

As already mentioned past the others you lot don´t have to redownload the whole game. Merely brand the purchase of the digital Version and it will practise the residuum automaticly. Maybe you have to start the download of some dlc manually. To cheque that only go to my games and apps and select manage game. If some DLC shows upwardly in the ready to install section only trigger the download.

Thank you to all for the quick responses. I figured it was all linked to my business relationship, but but wanted to make sure and verify the installation procedure and progress info before purchasing the digital copy.

You practise non need to delete the deejay version at all. Once you buy the digital version of the game you no longer need to insert the deejay. I have done this with several EA access games in the past or with some games with aureate.

I believe that it will just upgrade your current version of the game.
If y'all exercise have to re-install. And so your progress should be saved and merged into the new version of the game.

in teoria non devi disinstallare nulla e ti spiego il perché. Tu ora utilizzi il CD perché all'interno di esso risiedono le licenze di avvio, se prenderai la ultimate edition in pratica eliminerei la necessità di utilizzare il disco perché le licenze diverranno digitali e di conseguenza non dovrai più usarlo.

Hello,
When you lot all ready ain the game and have everything up to date like updates and stuff. You dont need to reinstall the game for a digital version. The disc and digital is the same game and same way it works so theres no reason to uninstall and reinstall.
